石敢當(dāng),又稱泰山石敢當(dāng),是立於街巷之中,特別是丁字路口等路風(fēng)水沖處被稱為兇位的牆上,用於辟邪的石碑。石碑上刻有「石敢當(dāng)」,或「泰山石敢當(dāng)」的字,在碑額上還常有獅首、虎首等淺浮雕。
「石敢當(dāng)」的文字記載最早見於西漢史游的《急就章》:「師猛虎,石敢當(dāng),所不侵,龍未央」。元代陶宗儀《南村輟耕錄》中記載「今人家正門適當(dāng)巷陌橋道之沖,則立一小石將軍,或植一小石碑,鐫其上曰石敢當(dāng),以厭禳之」
Shigandang is an ornamental stone tablet with writings, which is used to exorcise evil spirits in east Asia. The Shigandang are often associated with Mount Tai and are often placed on street inteectio or three-way junctio, especially in the crossing, which is often coidered a fierce place.
