I have an older style EleksLaser A3 Pro laser engraver and wanted to share all the upgrades I did. I have not verified these upgrades will work on the newest veion of the A3 Pro but based on pictures they should. I have included .stl, .step & Fusion 360 file formats on my desig. See "Upgrade " for more information about both the parts you need to print and hardware you need to purchase. Notes: A majority of the new hardware I needed were contents of a larger hardware kit I had previously purchased on Amazon ( I think hardware kits like this are a great buy and way cheaper in the long run than spot buying fastene for a specific project(s). The only hardware I sourced from my local hardware store was the M5x50 Bolts, M5x6 Button Head and M4 Nylon Lock Nut. You may not have enough nylon space from the original A3 Pro kit to do the y-carriage upgrades. I had just enough extras leftover from my original build even after replacing a few cracked space. If you do need spaces, I would recommend checking out these projects OR You will need to confirm the focus of your engraver after this upgrade since it moves the engraver away from the work surface. I wasn't sure if this was worth mentioning but for completeness, I figured it was worth it. Final Thoughts: At the end of the day the out of the box laser engraver worked well and I used it for several months without any modificatio successfully. The improvement you see from these upgrades will really depending on what you started with. I had an x-carriage that was way to tight out of the box and a y-axis that was to loose. I noticed the biggest improvement when engraving the same thing over and over and there wasn't any "shift" in the design on the work piece. If there are any other upgrades/improvements you think I should try let me know in the comments.
